X's and O's

Do coaches really win because of their X's and O's (this is with the assumption that ALL NBA coaches for example are equipped with this), or is it the players that they have (i.e. MJ, Kobe, Shaq, Lebron (?)), or is it simply knowing the "when,how, and what" of the situation at hand?

AHS vs Claret

Won our game against Claret today, 76-72. The game plan was to play them with a 1-2-2 zone defense to cover their shooters. They shot a lot from there--made some, but our defense held up. We were in control much of the game, leading by as many as 15 pts. , before claret made a run to cut the lead to 2. I didn't sue for time and let my boys play. They responded and built the lead to a more comfortable 9 pts going in to the final 2 minutes of the game.

4-0 now. We're playing Southridge next week before the big one-Xavier.

Ateneo PAYA Jrs 2009-2010

This is my 9th year of coaching in the Ateneo. Been to the final 4 five times and the finals twice. Lost both finals. Thanks to Xavier School! Who knows, this year might just be our year!
